Well, there are finally starting to be a few things to watch again on TV, which is both a blessing and a curse for me because I still haven't watched all of the fall shows all the way through. I still have a lot left actually... BSG:Razor, Bionic Woman, Chuck, Heroes, Journeyman, Moonlight, Smallville, Supernatural and Tin Man still all need to be watched from the first half of the television season.
But there are new things coming soon as well as a chance to see some things I missed the first time around. Let me know if there are any other new or returning series I missed, I haven't been able to find a comprehensive list of everything on every network:
Mad Men, Breaking Bad (AMC)
AMC actually has dramas on it now, a break from the awful movies they pass off as classics. I know Mad Men was a summer series but I missed it, fortunately reruns of the 50s advertising exec series have just started and the first episode was rather good. Breaking Bad also look interesting and I recorded the first episode tonight. Will be nice to see Bryan Cranston in the starring role.
American Idol, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Moment of Truth, New Amsterdam (FOX)
Yeah, I watch reality TV. American Idol is a good way to pass the time while I'm recording the better shows out there, Moment of Truth will be airing right after Idol too so it gets the carry over. Two sci-fi-ish shows too... Terminator has been interesting so far, and New Amsterdam looked interesting during the fall preview. Main character is immortal, could be fun.
American Gladiators, Knight Rider (NBC)
NBC goes retro. Gladiators has been about the same as it ever was, though there's far too much talking with the contestants. And a new Knight Rider movie/pilot thingie? Never watched the old one to be honest, but I'll probably record and watch.
Lost, Eli Stone (ABC)
The new most interesting night on television will be Thursdays on ABC, though it'll compete closely with the Prison Break/Terminator pairing on FOX until they run out of Prison Break episodes. Lost is self explanatory and last season was a return to form for the most part. Eli Stone is another weirdly whimsical looking series that might be better paired with Pushing Daisies in the future.
Survivor: Micronesia, The Captain, Big Brother 9 (CBS)
CBS is going to have to rely on their big two reality shows to get them through. Once again, Big Brother is nice to watch during gaps in the schedule. Survivor is always fun too, at least to me. The Captain is a new pilot that had an interesting way to a pilot so I'm going to give it a chance because of the backstory of how the series came to be.
The Whitest Kids U'Know (IFC), Ghost Hunters International (Sci-Fi), Parking Wars (A&E), Spectacular Spider-Man (CW)
Yay! New Spidey cartoon that will have me leaving my PC on to catch Saturday morning programming for the first time in a long time. Whitest Kids is a great sketch comedy series in the vein of Kids in the Hall... and well... don't look at me weird. I like Ghost Hunters, and I have no idea why I'm watching a reality show about parking cars.
